Can you jailbreak the lg optimus v on virgin mobile onto boostmobile?

i presently have boost mobile, and i just want a good android, boost's android doesn't cut it for me. i really, really like the lg optimus on virgin mobile, and i thought that since both virgin and boost were both owned by sprint that maybe i could jailbreak..i mean, because i'm only one month away from my bill getting smaller on boost. :/|||Hello!
