if you can...give me a description about both of them!!|||Blackberry curve 8330! I've had my lg xenon since last august and I've already had to get 3 replacements. I got the first replacement a week after I got it because whenever I would dial the 3 button the whole fun would freeze up and i would have to take the battery and and restart it. I had to get the second one because it just stopped being able to view text messages and it kept randomly hanging up during calls. I had to get a third replacement because this huge air bubble like thing came up in the middle of the screen and I couldn't use the touch screen. And I have to get ANOTHER replacement tomorrow because now whenever I get a text it vibrates for about 5 minutes straight, then freezes up and I have to restart it.


And when you make a call on the lg xenon this extremely annoying thing that looks the phone pops up about every 3 seconds. Once it pops up, if you want to do anything on the touch screen, like hang up, join calls, put them on speaker or hold, or anything, you have to slide a bar across the phone. It doesn't sound too bad, but trust me, it gets VERY annoying.


So unless the blackberry curve 8330 just flat out SUCKS and has gotten terrible reviews, I would definitely go with it.

BoostMobile phones are phones that use Sprints CDMA quick 3G network AND Nextel's iDen push-to-talk network. Sprint's coverage is just ok, as it Nextel's, but Sprint has better looking phones. BoostUnlimited is great because you have unlimited data on your phone. However, none of their phones have an internet experience that is great enough to take advantage of this. You might also look at Helio, which offers similar niche-market phones and services.





All that is fine and dandy, but Verizon offers the best service in the United States. Anyone that tells you otherwise is extremely misinformed. Consumer Reports, CNET.com, and any other reputable resource will tell you that.|||I don't like it because the service stinks.|||I'll second the AT%26amp;T guy. I've had (Cingular--AT%26amp;T) ever since I started driving OTR. I almost never have no signal no matter where I am. I'm just amazed at the places I am sometimes and can still get or make calls. (there are some brief dead spots in some "middle of nowheres"). I also just got the Sierra USB 881 broadband for my laptop which blows me away. For years I paid for Flying J, TA and other services or used my slow cell phone uplink if I wasn't near a place where I had an account. I finally decided to get the Sierra broadband USB device ($100 minus $100 mail-in rebate---FREE) and pay the $60/month unlimited fee (instead of all the fees I was paying for fixed site services anyway) and now, no matter where I stop I get broadband internet service. Way cool. Maybe that doesn't answer the question, but I hope it helps--if you're an OTR driver and want the best coverage, right now AT%26amp;T is the answer. (someone told me to get the Sprint aircard and I did, but after a week turned it back in because their coverage is so bad with huge holes across the USA)

|||What version of phones tools are you using? Version 5 is a lot less buggy than 4. Update the software two or three times to make sure it has the latest settings. Then try manually installing the phone .

Your sim card can be used in a non-Boost phone as long as it is and iDEN phone and it's unlocked. I used to have Nextel and have an unlocked i450 Boost Mobile phone that was used with absolutely no problems. There are actually a lot of people that use an unlocked Nextel phone with Boost Mobile sim cards. It does NOT fry your sim card, and special codes ARE available. They are based off of the IMEI and serial numbers of the phone. Boost's customer service says that as a scare tactic to get people to keep using their phones. There was actually a law passed that service providers have to allow you to unlock their phones if you want to use it with a different service. Like I said, you can use any unlocked iDEN phone with your Boost sim.|||you can use them in nextel phones. thats what i do with mine

Once you attempt this generally when you replace the SIM in your boot phone it will request you to enter a special code. The bad part is, there is no special code. You'd have to leave the phone alone for up to two days and wait for your boost phone to say "Enter Special code now." The key words is "now." once your phone says that you have to power it off, turn it back on, and assuming you get past the "please wait connecting" screen-- normally it will not stop saying please wait connecting, meaning the card is fried-- you'll have to wait up to another hour to make calls.





Now, if we were to even assume this would work, boost mobile customer care would be unable to help you if you managed to get a chip put into the non boost mobile phone to allow it to work on our network. We don't have the ability to fix any chirp issues, or to fix error like "no service." On top of that, we cannot assure that you will be able to use off of the boost services you pay for. It's just not a wise idea.|||no

The I1 is supported by BoostMobile as well as Sprint (I searched the phone on the boostmobile.com site to make sure it was listed).





You will need to make sure, though, that the SIM is still available for the BoostMobile network. The SIMs are actually different, and when making this kind of a change, a new SIM is required. (Handled calls like this, so my source is a Technical Support agent while fielding a question just like this on the phones).





So, call BoostMobile and ask if you can still get a BoostMobile SIM for the I1. If the answer is yes, then you can buy the I1, buy the correct SIM, put the SIM in your I1, then call BoostMobile for activation.

Some Nextel phones use Sprint's CDMA network for voice and data and only use the iden network for the walkie talkie. You will need to contact boost mobile's technical support to see of the Blackberry you want to use will have full functionality.
